Speaking at Vancouver's Seaforth Armoury, Harry introduced an online educational program designed to bring the Invictus Games into schools. He emphasized how this initiative extends the Games' influence beyond the veteran community and into educational settings worldwide.
The Invictus Games, founded by Harry in 2014 during his time as a British Army captain, is an international sports competition for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans.
Harry shared his emotional connection to the Games, particularly highlighting the opening ceremonies: "For most of them, it's very hard to walk into a busy room, and here they are walking into a stadium of tens of thousands of people."
The 2025 Winter Invictus Games, set for Vancouver and Whistler, will introduce new winter sports including:
- Nordic Skiing
- Wheelchair curling
- Snowboarding
- Alpine skiing
The event marks a significant expansion of the Games, previously launched by Harry and Meghan during a special event in Whistler earlier this year.
