British police are investigating a burglary at Windsor Castle estate where suspects stole a pickup truck and quad bike from a farm building shortly before midnight on October 13th.

The incident occurred over a mile from the main castle, with reports suggesting two masked men scaled a 6-foot fence before driving through a security barrier to escape. King Charles III and Queen Camilla were not present during the incident.

The burglary raises security concerns following recent reports that armed officers were removed from Windsor Castle's public entrances due to staffing shortages. While armed officers remain stationed inside the castle perimeter, the Metropolitan Police Service maintains that security arrangements undergo constant review based on threat assessments.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues. Prince William and his family, who reside at nearby Adelaide Cottage on the estate, were reportedly at home during the incident.
