Derby's Moorways Sports Village Plans £327,000 Investment for Major Gym Expansion
Moorways Sports Village in Derby is undergoing a major £327,000 gym expansion, increasing capacity to over 200 stations. The project will run from April 21 to June 20, transforming the second floor into one of the largest fitness facilities in Everyone Active's nationwide network.
The 38% expansion includes several new features:
- Functional area with sled track
- Resistance and Hammer Strength plate-loaded machines
- Booty Builder dual hip thrust bench
- Dedicated recovery area
- Additional treadmills
Members can continue using all facilities during the renovation period without disruption. The upgrade also includes relocating group fitness facilities to the first floor, where existing meeting rooms will be converted into a new multi-purpose studio.
"This fantastic project will enable us to accommodate more people, providing state-of-the-art equipment aligned with current fitness trends," says Myles Hickman, Everyone Active's general manager. "The gym at Moorways and our helpful colleagues will enable everyone to achieve their perfect workout, regardless of age, interests, or ability."
